The Basix Operating Manual was an a published book accompanying Kevin Siwoff's Basix site specific exhibition at 9to5 gallery in Atlanta, consisting of consisting of an e-commerce marketplace where real goods can be purchased and delivered to the Basix Lockr, located at 9to5.tv‘s Atlanta gallery. In Basix, Siwoff investigates the ubiquitous system by which consumer packaged goods are manufactured, purchased, shipped, and unboxed.
The book goes over all the different aspects to the Basix operating system, being a mix between manual that one would give to an employee starting a job at the company and an art book.
