Living in Ecuador, struggling with getting an education, immigrating to the U.S and struggling to find work; the piece conveys the mood of my mother's history. She would return home late, cook us dinner and ask how our days went. As years went by, I noticed her exhaustion when she got home. And still, despite all this, she found the time to laugh with us and to take us around the city during the weekends.

The path of green grass in front of her and the two figures who are my brother and I signify the nourishment and time that she has put into her family's well being.
