In this piece, I aim to capture the feeling of family and what it has made me. I give the viewer the freedom to figure out my heartbreak and burden. Seek my joy and recollection. This piece is a puzzle because sometimes I struggle with finding the right words to describe how I feel. I have chosen a sculptural medium in an effort to make the piece physically reach out to the viewer; the rough hands, small and animated, the dark house standing tall. Small glimpses to something bright inside-- leaving the option of the story to whoever may wonder.
