This piece is dedicated to my siblings Kimberly and Alex. Though using charcoal or sewing is the norm for me, I took on the challenge of embroidery. This has led to the exploration lines and geometric shapes. I’ve filled in sections with different colors emphasizing that regardless of such a broken past we’ve come a long way of building each other back up. The graduation gown shows our accomplishments and aspirations of having a better life in the future. I hope to tell the audience that siblings are your best friends and you can be a better outcome of your environment.
